“Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also harder to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: It is easier to say “My tooth is aching’ than to say ‘My heart is broken’.” -Lewis, 1940

Whilst taking a decision to start therapy can be very daunting, it can also be seen as taking a courageous first step towards investing in your psychological well-being. Life can be very challenging, and the thought of facing your problems on your own can feel very overwhelming.
What brings people to therapy? Usually, it is because of difficulties they may be currently experiencing, which could include struggling with mental health issues such as depression or anxiety, dealing with a distressing situation or navigating problems in a relationship; in all these cases, their usual ways of coping have lost their effectiveness.
Others may want to learn more about themselves as a way of finding greater fulfilment in their lives or their relationships. In my therapy room, I strive to create a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space, where you can speak openly about your thoughts and feelings as well as explore new insights into yourself, whilst being equipped with skills to foster constructive change and to alleviate distress.

Testimonials
C. and D.
D and I started dating in 2009 and connected at first glance. It was as if our hearts had found a ‘home’ within each other with no real extra effort. As most relationships go through life’s cycles of ups and downs, we found ourselves with a breakdown in communication 3 years in. In effect we had lost our special connection and were lost to how to find it again. Stuck in the ugly arguments, resentment and that familiar ‘chase and run’ pattern of wanting to be with each other but also run away into our independence, we decided to take a ‘break’ and press pause in hopes it would reset what we knew was a special foundation. We are forever grateful that we found Patty in those 6 weeks in which she helped show us the love we share, our similarities, our special bond and helped realign us back together. Her sessions weren’t just talking through our feelings, each session would have proactive tasks, readings and actioning our emotions and thoughts into healing and reconnection. We have leant on the tool kit that Patty helped us develop all the way back in 2012 numerous of times. 2025 marks our amazing 10-year wedding anniversary together in which we celebrated all our highs and lows and our incredible two daughters and amazingly blessed life together.Couples therapy is not a weakness and when tackled together in growth and effort, the strength of communication allows for so much healing.Thank you, Patty, for being the incredibly empathetic and soft catalyst in our relationship journey.C and D
