Family therapy is a one-of-a-kind process that helps families understand and improve their relationships with each other. This therapeutic system generally focuses on exploring the different relationships that make up the family system and helping each member understand the ripple effect their actions may have on the rest of the family.
Family counselling or therapy can help address a range of family challenges, such as conflict, communication breakdowns, and the impact of life changes or trauma.
Through the years, this therapy has remained one of the best ways for families to resolve conflicts, deal with traumatic events, and mend broken relationships.
It has been found that being in the same room as members of your family and ‘having to listen’ to how they feel can be therapeutic in itself.
I offer family therapy sessions and have completed supervised training in this at FAMSA (Family Life Centre).
