“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
― Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck or emotionally drained?
It is normal and part of living to feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained or stuck at times in our lives. What we do about it will keep us stuck or help us grow. Sometimes this struggle is loud, like anxiety, stress or a tough life event. Other times, it is quieter; a loss of motivation, a persistent sense of disconnection, or an inner voice questioning your worth. Therapy provides a safe space, in our often very busy lives, to explore what is beneath the surface. There is no pressure to explain everything all at once. You start wherever you are.
There is a popular misconception that you only need therapy if you struggle with symptoms of severe psychological distress. However, many people struggle with issues that would not be considered by others as ‘severe’ yet cause a significant amount of distress in their lives. Therapy can help treat a range of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues.
My areas of treatment:
My areas of focus include anxiety and depression, grief and loss, adjustment concerns, doubts about self-worth, relationship difficulties (including break-ups and adjusting to life post-divorce), personal growth, work-related issues, and dealing with difficult life decisions or crises. My approach to therapy is integrative and collaborative, drawing on my training in a range of therapeutic styles, namely systems therapy, Rogerian therapy, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Solution-focused therapy, Schema therapy and Gestalt therapy.
My approach to therapy:
I cater to the needs of the individual in my choice of therapeutic intervention with careful consideration given to the client’s history, current life experiences, challenges, strengths and goals. I strongly believe people are experts in their own lives; my role is to work collaboratively with them in a safe and non-judgmental space.
I provide short and long-term therapy to clients, tailored to meet your time and financial constraints.
My greatest hope as a therapist is that my clients can say they have learnt something valuable about themselves after completing their therapy.
